Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Quebec

Board your deluxe, restroom-equipped motorcoach in time for a mid-afternoon arrival in Quebec City.


Be sure to arrive at school at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time to ensure an on-time departure and an on-time arrival in Quebec.
LE CONCORDE
Arrive in Québec City, the Cradle of French Civilization in North America, meet your Tour Manager at the Hotel le Concorde (1225 Place Montcalm), check in and freshen up.
DELTA
Arrive in Québec City, the Cradle of French Civilization in North America, meet your Tour Manager at the Marriott Delta Quebec Hotel, (690 Boulevard René-Lévesque E), check in and freshen up.


Meet your guide in the lobby, DRESSED for WINTER, then depart on a brief walking orientation tour that will introduce you to the Grande Allee (the Champs Elysees of Quebec), the Assemblée Nationale, Quebec’s provincial parliament building, la Porte St-Jean, and the Quartier Latin.


Your walking tour will end with dinner at the Bistro Les Trois Garçons, a trendy new restaurant in the heart of the Latin Quarter.


After dinner, continue on your walking tour ending on the Terrasse Dufferin outside the Château Frontenac, where you can take a ride or two on the famous toboggan slide, la luge, 300 feet above the frozen St. Lawrence River.


Before you return to the hotel, meet your photographer at the warming hut at the bottom of the slide, and pause for a group photograph at 9:00pm.


Return to the hotel after the photo at about 9:15pm.


Overnight security begins upon arrival at the hotel at about 9:30pm.

 

Day 2: Explore Quebec City

Breakfast in the hotel.


After breakfast, board the bus, dressed in your warmest winter clothing, and depart for a 9:00am visit to Montmorency Falls.

 

Depart for Québec’s world-famous Hotel de Glace (Ice Hotel), for a one-hour tour at 10:00am.

 


Transfer back to the Old City for lunch on your own in the Quarter Petit Champlain. If the weather is inclement, you can have lunch at les Galeries de la Capitale instead, then take a ride on the indoor roller coaster in the Mega Parc, or practice your French in any of its 230 retail stores.


Board the bus and depart for a 3:00pm dog-sledding excursion in the Québec countryside. Don’t forget, when communicating with the dogs, they speak French, not English!


After your dog sledding adventure, board the bus and depart for your evening at an authentic, French-Canadian cabane à sucre.


Arrive at Cabane à Pierre for an evening of traditional food, music and dancing.


After dinner, board the bus depart for your hotel.


Overnight security begins upon arrival at the hotel at about 10:00pm.

 

Day 3: Depart Quebec City

Pack your bags for a speedy checkout after breakfast,

Meet your guide in the lobby at 7:00am and walk to a 7:15am buffet breakfast at la Vieille Maison, a sprawling old house on the Grande Allée.


Return to the hotel and bring your bags to the lobby, and place them on the bus between 8:30 and 8:45am.


Board the bus and transfer to the Musée du Fort for a 9:15am sound and light show depicting the famous
Battle of the Plains of Abraham.

 


After the history lesson, walk back to the Quartier Petit Champlain for some last-minute gift shopping and picture taking.


Reassemble at the Bust of Louis XIV and walk to the Québec City Ferry Terminal.


Board the 12:30pm Ferry to Lévis.


End your Québec City visit with a
ferry ride across the frozen St. Lawrence River.

Meet your bus in Lévis and depart on the final leg of your journey home.


Arrive at school at approximately xx:xxpm. Your exact arrival time may vary slightly.

 

Day 2: Optional Activities

Evening Ice Skating

After dinner, meet the bus and transfer to a modern office building in downtown Montréal where your day will end with an hour and a half of ice skating at L’Atrium le 1000, an indoor, 10,000-square-foot ice-skating pavilion.
